Which vehicles are suitable for export?
In principle, all types of vehicle are suitable for car export - regardless of brand or model. These are often cars that are older than 10 years and have more than 200,000 km on the clock. Top brands such as Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW and Toyota are particularly in demand. Multi-purpose vehicles, minibuses and cars with powerful engines are also popular commodities. Additional equipment such as air conditioning or roof racks increase the sales value. There is a wide group of interested parties for vehicles that are also new to the market in Switzerland. Even cars that can no longer be registered here or have defects such as engine damage or transmission damage find buyers.

Arrange vehicle export
If your car does not pass the road traffic office when it is presented, you only have a few options for reselling it. You could possibly trade it in at a new car dealer, but you won't get a high price. Alternatively, you could try to offer the car privately via an online sales portal, but this is often difficult. In this situation, exporting is the best solution to still make a profit - and still better than scrapping the vehicle. Make sure you choose a reputable car dealer, because there are many tricks and scams. Selling and buying cars is a matter of trust, so you should choose your exporter carefully and avoid dubious business practices.
